Introduction to My Blog

Hello everyone and welcome back to this fabulous blog of mine where I will be reviewing some of my favorite and also some classic movies. I am super excited to do this blog because it combines two of the thing I love doing the most; watching movies and expressing my opinions. Now the thing that might be a little controversial about my blog is that my idea of a classic movie may differ from someone else's idea, but that is why this is my blog... LOL. 

Now, the first movie I will be reviewing is favorited by many and considered a classic by most. I will be talking about Forest Gump! Directed by Robert Zemeckis, this movie won many awards including an Academy Award for best picture. This movie will never get old to me. I could watch it a million times over and never get tired of it. If you have not seen this movie I highly suggest you go watch it. Forest Gump is one of those movies that you can watch over and over (at least for a little bit). 

First, I want to talk about Forest Gump himself. He is such an interesting character. There are not many movies out there with a main character that has a personality like Forest. He is a simple-minded, lovable and compassionate man. You just can't hate him, he is too good-hearted. He will do anything for anyone no questions asked and I think that is the reason why everyone loves him because in the real world there are not many people like that and people just loved watching him grow throughout the movie. Tom Hanks is also just an incredible actor so he was perfect to play this part.

Next, the story line. This was such a successful movie because the plot was so well thought out. It is about a guy who goes through so many major events in history- good and bad. This is interesting because you are experiencing these events through the eyes of someone who does not see much bad in anything. I think to some extent we all want to be a little bit more like Forest Gump. 

Overall, this movie is quite incredible. The cast isn't quite an all star cast but they are all great actors. Again, if you haven't seen this movie I highly recommend you go check it out because you won't regret it!
